Manage & share files
The Files page is where all your documents live — a searchable table with everything you need to find, preview, and keep them organized.
Files belong to the project you have selected. In a shared project, every member sees the project's files — folders included — so switching projects switches the file list. See Projects.
Find files
- Search by file name or by content — JobKred reads inside your documents, so you can find a file by a phrase it contains.
- Filter by Source — show all files, or just those from a particular place (your local uploads, Google Drive, OneDrive, and so on).
- My Files / Shared with Me — switch between files you own and files colleagues have shared with you.
Work with a file
For any file you can:
- View details — see its parsed content, summary (if generated), tags, and which chats it's attached to.
- Preview — open supported types in a viewer without downloading.
- Download — get the original file.
- Rename — give the file a new name (the file type stays the same). Your name sticks: if the file came from a connected source such as Google Drive or OneDrive and is renamed there, your name is kept — and downloads save under the current name.
- Edit tags — add or change its tags.
- Delete — remove it from your workspace. You can delete files you uploaded; a project Admin can delete any file in the project (see Who can delete).
- Tag — add labels to group and filter files.
Share a file
In a shared project, there's nothing to do — project members already see the project's files, with their project role governing what they can change.
For a file in a private project, use Share as the owner to give colleagues in your company access. Search for people by name and add them; the file then shows up under their Shared with Me.
If someone shared a file with you and later deletes it, the file shows as unavailable and can no longer be downloaded — the underlying document is gone. JobKred handles this gracefully so you're never left with a broken link.
