Projects

Everything you create in JobKred — chats, workflows, files and their folders — lives in exactly one project. Projects keep related work together and are how you collaborate: add colleagues as members of a project and they can see and work on what's inside it.

Use the project switcher at the top of the sidebar to move between projects. Your chat, workflow and file lists always show the currently selected project.

Your default project

Everyone has a default project: a private space that is always there. Anything you create without choosing a project lands in it.

Your default project is private by design — it can never have other members. To collaborate, create a new project and invite people into it.

Create a project and add members

  1. Open Projects from the sidebar and choose New project.
  2. Give it a name, and optionally add members straight away.
  3. Use the project switcher to work inside it — everything you create there is visible to its members.

Members can be added or removed at any time from the project's page. Removing a member removes their access to everything in the project.

Member roles

Each member has a role in the project:

RoleCan do
ViewerSee and open the project's chats, workflows and files.
EditorViewer, plus create and edit workflows, files and content.
AdminEditor, plus manage members and project settings.

The project's creator is its owner and always an Admin.

Clear messages, not dead ends

If you can see something but your role doesn't allow an action — for example, a Viewer trying to edit a workflow — JobKred tells you that you don't have permission, rather than pretending the item doesn't exist.

Sharing inside and outside a project

  • In a shared project, membership is the sharing. Everything in the project is visible to its members — there is no per-item share list to maintain.
  • Individual sharing (sharing one chat, workflow or file with a named colleague) is available for items in your private projects, such as your default project.

Connections belong to a project

Third-party connections (Google Drive, Notion, Jira and the rest) are made per project, with one connection per service in each project. A project Admin connects the account; every member can then import through it. See File connectors.

Keep personal accounts personal

If you don't want colleagues importing through an account you connect, connect it in your default project instead — the connect dialog offers to switch you there.
